This annual release of The Macallan’s popular 18 Year Old Sherry Oak is matured exclusively in sherry seasoned casks, built from both Spanish and American oak, providing a beautifully dark flavour with rich aromas.
The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Dried fruits and ginger, with a hint of citrus, vanilla and cinnamon.
Palate: Rich dried fruits with spice, clove, orange and wood smoke.
Finish: Full and lingering with dried fruits and sweet toffee, ginger and a hint of wood smoke.
Distillery Information
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
