This bottle of Stranahan’s Rocky Mountain Single Malt was hand selected by Master Distiller Rob Dietrich. Every barrel is unique and yields a one of a king cask strength whiskey.
Stranahan’s Single Barrel Cask Strength 54.78% ABV Single malt Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: An apple-ish note, with cinnamon, ginger, spices – cloves, cherry, almond, citrus, maple syrup, baking spices, mild cherry, pear, plum, slight soapy element, licorice, vermouth, evergreen, clove, cardamom.
Palate: Cinnamon, butterscotch, cooking spices, white pepper, thin mouthfeel, sweet but not cloying, more dried fruit, cherries, rich candy, licorice, cinnamon, spice (ginger?), buttery, sweet and cinnamon.
Finish: Medium-long – touch of oak spice, medium-long, very nice, almost dessert without being too sweet, medium finish, lingers – bitter and dry.
