Detailed Description
Redemption’s standard Rye, perfection is in the aging and blending, and sometimes the during the batching process there’s a barrel that requires nothing more than a few more years’ age to bring out that perfection. Those barrels source Redemption’s limited release Barrel Proof Ryes, which are aged in 7-, 8- and 10-year expressions.
Redemption 8 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Spicy rye, gingerbread cookies, dark brown sugar, vanilla, and cloves.
Palate: Heavy and hot, vanilla and brown sugar, along with a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.
Finish: Bold and warming, with notes of spices balanced against a subtle touch of fresh vanilla, cream and citrus.
Distillery Information
Bardstown Barrel Selections, the parent company of Redemption, was founded by bourbon industry veterans Michael Kanbar and Dave Schmier.
