Alexander Murray & Co presents a fine expression of highland single malt from Ardmore Distillery. Founded in 1898, Ardmore is one of Scotland’s more versatile distilliries, in that it produces both a peated-and unpeated-single malt. The peated style tends to deliver a distinctly smoky-rather than medical- flavor profile. This 2008 vintage has aromas of a smoky malt: dry, smoky campfire explodes on the palate; yet through maturation it has developed fine depth of characted, subtle vanilla bean arrives with a pleasant and coating texture.

Ardmore distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery. The Ardmore distillery sits at the highest point of the Northern railway line, 600 feet above sea level. Close to the small village of Kennethmont, the proximity to the railway line allowed founder Adam Teacher to transport materials from Glasgow to this remote corner of Aberdeenshire, helping the distillery flourish.
