Detailed Description
This Spanish single malt started out at the DYC Distillery and was finished in a “bota punta” Oloroso Sherry cask. “Bota punta” is the term for the cask at the beginning of the bottom row of barrels in a Sherry solera, which exposes it to more air and light than the other barrels in the solera racks.

Nose: The nose has notes of brandy, barley sugar, toffee, dates.
Palate: The taste has a good balance of spices and fruit, with notes of dark fruits complemented by cardamom.
Finish: The finish is long, but subtle with touches of tree fruits, Manuka honey, and spice.
Distillery Information
Destilerías y Crianza del Whisky S.A. (or Whisky DYC) is a Spanish company formed by businessman Nicomedes García Gómez in 1958. It is currently a subsidiary of Beam Suntory. The first distillery, built in Palazuelos de Eresma in Segovia, began operation in February 1959. In March 1963, it started to produce Whisky DYC, the first Spanish whisky.
