Detailed Description
This small batch release from the Wolfburn distillery in Thurso, Caithness, is a lightly peated expression, matured in slightly unusual 100 litre first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Named for the location the casks were stored – warehouse No.1, stow number 28 – only 6,000 bottles of Batch No.128 were released.
Wolfburn Batch No. 128 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Tobacco smoke and lemon peels, with toffee, honey, vanilla and warming peat smoke.
Palate: Sweet honey and apples to the fore, with melon, vanilla, and a light smoke developing over time.
Finish: Medium with an oak influence from the smaller casks.

Wolfburn distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland. After ceasing production in the 1850s it reopened in 2013. Wolfburn distillery was founded just to the west of the town of Thurso Caithness in 1821 by William Smith.
