Detailed Description
The Reservoir distillery in Richmond, Virginia, seem to have a thing for simplicity – much like their Bourbon and Rye (made with 100% corn and 100% rye, respectively), this expression from their range is made with 100% wheat! Aged in smaller casks, which results in increased surface area to distillate ratio, this is flavoursome though classically laid-back.
Reservoir Wheat Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Juicy red berries and thick layers of caramel.
Palate: Rich honey, marmalade, buttered toast and chocolate-coated peanuts.
Finish: A hint of orange chocolate remains.

Reservoir Distillery was founded in 2009 by Richmond natives Dave Cuttino and Jay Carpenter located in Richmond, Virginia.The distillery uses Virginia-grown grains to make wheat whiskey, rye whiskey and corn bourbon. Its brands are distributed throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
