Rumbullion! is an extraordinary cockle-warming spiced rum, but those clever Ableforth’s folks have changed the game with this limited edition Chilli & Chocolate expression! Criollo cocoa nibs, chipotle chillies and jalapeño chillies join the original Rumbullion! medley of Caribbean rum, Madagascan vanilla, orange peel, cassia, clove and cardamom, resulting in an indulgent and spicy flavour profile. Nose: Intense bittersweet dark chocolate leads with coffee beans, nutmeg, red cola cubes and orange zest in support. Earthy red chilli warmth emerges underneath and is balanced by creamy vanilla.
Palate: Black Forest gateau, drying cocoa and more thick slabs of dark chocolate are at the core, with gingerbread, cherry cola and hints of aniseed and clove in the back-drop.
Finish: Nutmeg, drying chilli heat and even more chocolate.
