Detailed Description

Released by Suntory in 2015, this vodka is pot-distilled from 100% Japanese rice sourced from the island of Kyushu. The name “Ao” is the Japanese word for “blue” but really refers to the blue and green hues found in the rice paddies. The vodka is clarified through bamboo filtration.

Ao Vodka Tasting Notes

Nose: Clean aroma of rice, coconut and sweet mint.

Palate: The palate has a slight hint of banana leaves, and leads to a smooth.

Finish: Warming finish accented by notes of rice pudding.
