Detailed Description
The tale began in the spring of 1974 when batch of bourbon was ‘rescued’ from a small distillery near Scharfferstown, Pennsylvania, after the distillery ceased trading. Some was sold immediately, whilst the remainder was kept in Kentucky to continue aging. Fifteen years later, Adolph Hirsch, a former director of Schenley Distillers, discovered the batch. Recognizing the quality of the bourbon, now with 15 years of maturity, he acquired all 400 barrels, translating into only 4,244 cases and gave it his own name. Unique with its rarity, refined in its taste, rich with history: A.H Hirsch Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
