Tom’s Town Double Oaked Bourbon is made from a mash bill of 62% corn, 36% rye, and 2% malted barley. It matures traditionally in new, charred American oak barrels before a secondary maturation with American and French oak staves. Bottled at 90 proof.

Nose: There’s a pop of spicy candy corn and caramel corn from this whiskey, along with baking spices and cola.
Palate: With some sweet vanilla.
Finish: A rich oaky finish that’s appealing.
Distillery Information
Tom’s Town Distilling Co. out of Kansas City, Missouri, is said to be the first legal distillery in this city’s downtown area since Prohibition. Founded in 2015 and named for an “infamous” Prohibition political boss known as Tom Pendergast, the distillery team here recently unveiled a new bourbon that’s gone through a double oak process.
