Detailed Description

An indie bottling of single malt from an undisclosed distillery on Orkney, finished in a Pedro Ximenéz Sherry cask! It was aged for 17 years, from September 2000 to September 2017, before North Star Spirits got their hands on it and bottled the whisky at cask strength.

North Star Orkney 17 Year Old Whiskey Tasting Notes.

Nose: Heather honey and cooking herbs, with a whiff of smoke lingering.

Palate: Develops a few notes of juicy pear and peaches in syrup, though savoury hints of thyme and smoke continue to develop.

Finish: Pink peppercorn and mixed peels.
