For more than a century this small town has stood proud on the western prairie with roots running deep though Iowa farmland. In 1920s when prohibiton agents came calling, the people of our small town worked in secret to produce a high caliber whiskey which became known as Templeton Rye. Templeton Rye Signature Reserve 6 year old is matured and aged in American oak barrels and bottled at 45.74% abv to deliver an exceptional straight Rye whiskey with hints of butterscotch and toasted oak with a finish of long lingering spice.

Nose: Butterscotch, vanilla, spice, cherry, green apple.
Palate: Bold oak with burnt sugar sweetness, fruit, toasted oak, mellow, smooth with vibrant mouth.
Finish: Long lingering spice.
Distillery Information
Templeton Rye refers to rye whiskey originally made in Templeton, Iowa during the prohibition era as a way for farmers in the Carroll County area to supplement their income. Amber in color, it was considered to be of particularly high quality and was popular in Chicago, Omaha, and Kansas City speakeasies.
