Detailed Description
Made in 1979 at a mystery distillery in Speyside, this 38-year-old single malt was bottled in 2018 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of German bottler The Whisky Agency. The nose offers rich aromas of dried fruits, honey, baking spices and fresh herbs, and the palate initially offers notes of fresh herbs, warm spices and dried fruits. Slowly flavours of honey, toasted oak and prunes develop, before a long, lingering finish.
Speyside Malt 1979 38 Year Old Whisky Agency Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: There is a much greater presence of peat in the taste than the nose suggests. The smokiness quickly hits the palate and then tapers off.
Finish: Teasing, heathery, delicious.
