Detailed Description
A 1977 vintage whisky bottled by the SMWS, produced at distillery 56, aka Coleburn – closed since 1985 and since dismantled. This was distilled in March and bottled 16 and half years later in October 1993.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
Distillery Information
The blender Robertson & Sons of Dundee founded Coleburn Distillery in 1897. They re-started the production of Coleburn. When in 1930 DCL (later Diageo) bought the Clynelish Distillery Company they became the new owners of Coleburn and further on the distillery was led by DCL’s subsidiary Scottish Malt Distillers (SMD).
