It’s A. D. Rattray’s Cask Speyside, a limited edition 10 year old single malt from an undisclosed Speyside distillery. What we do know is that it spent its decade of maturation in bourbon casks, imparting all those lovely vanilla and fruity notes into the whisky. A rather splendid Speysider, presented in a lovely shade of teal.
Cask Speyside 10 Year Old (A.D. Rattray) Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Lemon curd, soft vanilla fudge, mint cremes and floral, fragrant blossom.
Palate: Smooth and rather gentle, with barley sugar sweetness, creamy milk chocolate praline, fresh cinnamon cookies and black pepper spice.
Finish: A balanced finish with sweet notes remaining alongside a splash of lemon citrus.
