Detailed Description
A 1994 Springbank single malt from indie bottler North Star Spirits, matured in a refill hogshead for a quarter of a century before being bottled in October 2020. Aromas of bees wax, salty sea breeze and medicinal herbs fill the nose, complemented by notes of mangoes, marmite and lemon rind throughout the palate.

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: There is a much greater presence of peat in the taste than the nose suggests. The smokiness quickly hits the palate and then tapers off.
Finish: Rich and smooth.
Distillery Information
The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
